Universe

The history

It all starts with a name...

Catherine Painvin considered the snack as a privileged and wonderful moment. The name Tartine et Chocolat was born from this moment of sharing and pleasure specific to childhood.

Very quickly, a universe took shape...

The Garde-Robe was quickly joined by children's rooms, plush toys and then Perfume, which completed the collections. In just a few years, Tartine et Chocolat became the first upmarket brand to offer a complete universe for children.

THE RENEWAL

Since 2004, Emilie Zannier has been the brand's Artistic Director and has given a new impulse to the House. Inspired by French elegance, she pays particular attention to refinement and perfect finishing.

The iconics

The Garda stripe

Selected by Catherine Painvin in her parents' fabric shop, the Garda stripe quickly became the soft and timeless signature of the House. Used on the ready-to-wear, nursery and soft toy collections, it symbolises the softness and elegance of the Tartine et Chocolat universe.

Léon the hedgehog

The House's cherished emblem, Léon the Hedgehog, has underlined the collections with tenderness over the years. In soft plush, refined embroidery or delicate mother-of-pearl, this endearing animal signs the entire universe of the House with his charming silhouette.

Ptisenbon

Fresh and floral, Tartine et Chocolat water with subtle notes of honeysuckle, lily of the valley and transparent jasmine has been the favourite fragrance of mothers and children for 30 years. Launched in 1987 in collaboration with Givenchy, it was the first baby fragrance.
